Since the end of the 19th century until about 1950 printed commercial receipts, heirs of the baroque age,are often heavily ornamented. Cats were present in these book-keeping documents, particularly in those whose brand was somehow connected with felines.
The Museum commercial receipts collections are mainly French, German and Belgian.
